About HumanEdge+
AI governance has to work in the real world.
HumanEdge+ helps organisations understand how AI is being used, put practical governance around that use and keep human responsibility clear as AI becomes part of everyday work.
We focus on the management side of AI: visibility, ownership, boundaries, oversight, evidence and review.
What HumanEdge+ is
Practical governance for AI in everyday work.
HumanEdge+ is an AI governance infrastructure provider.
We help organisations make workplace AI use visible, controlled, documented and accountable through practical governance that management can actually operate.
Our work sits between everyday AI use and the management decisions needed to govern it.
We are not trying to replace the organisation’s judgement. We help make that judgement clearer, more consistent and better supported.
Why we exist
AI often spreads faster than the organisation around it.
People use AI because it helps them work. It can appear through standalone tools, personal accounts, software already in use, supplier features or local experimentation.
The challenge is that management visibility, rules, ownership and review do not always develop at the same pace.
The point is not to stop people using AI.
It is to stop them guessing.
About Imelda
Imelda Morrissey
Co-Founder, HumanEdge+
My work sits at the intersection of people, business and technology. A background in social science, psychology, marketing and higher education shapes how I look at the human behaviour behind AI use.
Through work with businesses and in higher education, I saw ChatGPT, Copilot and Gemini enter everyday drafting, research and analysis faster than many organisations could establish visibility, rules and responsibility. HumanEdge+ grew from wanting to close that gap.
Since co-founding HumanEdge+, I have worked with organisations across sectors, piloted our approach within financial services, developed AI governance frameworks and policies for Irish businesses and delivered AI training through Skillnet programmes. I also contribute to training, panel discussions and conversations with educational institutions.
Governance should help people use useful technology with confidence while keeping risks, decisions and accountability clear. Technology will change. Human judgement must remain in the loop.
Our approach
Understand first. Structure second.
We do not start by selling a policy.
We start by understanding the organisation.
See the reality
Understand how AI is actually being used before deciding what governance is needed.
Set proportionate boundaries
Govern what matters without making sensible AI use unnecessarily difficult.
Keep responsibility human
AI can support work. Decisions, judgement and accountability remain with people.
Keep it current
Governance needs to move as tools, suppliers and organisational use change.
Match claims to evidence
Governance claims should reflect what can actually be supported.
Our boundaries
Knowing where our role ends matters.
HumanEdge+ helps organisations with
- Understanding actual workplace AI use
- Management visibility
- Governance structure
- Roles and ownership
- Information boundaries
- Human oversight
- Approval and escalation
- Evidence and review
- Keeping governance current
Specialist expertise may be needed for
- Legal advice
- Data-protection advice
- Cybersecurity assurance
- Technical AI implementation
- Software and integration development
- Specialist sector judgement
- Clinical or safety-critical expertise
Where specialist input is needed, HumanEdge+ can identify the governance question and make sure it is reflected in the organisation’s decision-making. We do not present another profession’s expertise as our own.
How we build
Built from evidence. Refined through real work.
HumanEdge+ is developed through real organisational work, practical delivery evidence and disciplined review.
- Learn from real organisational work.
- Standardise what genuinely repeats.
- Keep human judgement where context matters.
- Review the methodology as evidence and practice develop.
Technology should support the governance model, not dictate it.
